The permanent exhibition

Józef Piłsudski 1867 – 1935” is a story about Józef Piłsudski and the era in which he lived. The content of this story is contained in five chronological galleries dedicated to successive periods of his life and activity. The sixth gallery, named Symbol, presents Józef Piłsudski’s legacy in its broadest sense.

The exhibition is housed in an underground hall on two levels. The floors are connected by a central space where one can relax and watch a multimedia show on monumental screens that complements the content of the exhibition. Exhibits play a prominent role in the exhibition, the historical message is complemented by infographics and multimedia and audio presentations. The permanent exhibition has been awarded many prestigious prizes. In the 41st edition of the Sybilla competition, it won in the New and Modernized Permanent Exhibitions category and the Grand Prix. The exhibition “For the Polish Commonwealth. Józef Piłsudski 1867 – 1935” also received awards and honors from the Red Dot Design Award 2021, GOLD MUSE! MUSE Design Awards, International Design Awards.

Audio-guided tour:

  • An audio guide is included in the ticket price (the number of audio guides is limited),
  • The duration of all audio guide recordings is 3.5 hours (recommended tour time is about 2 hours),
  • The audio guide is available in Polish, English, German, Russian, with audiodescription and in Polish Sign Language,
  • If you are visiting our Museum with children, we recommend an audio guide with a family sound-track,
  • When renting the device, we will ask you to fill out a short form with basic data.

A group tour of the permanent exhibition “For the Polish Commonwealth. Józef Piłsudski 1867-1935” (from 10 persons)

  • Group tours can be booked a minimum of 14 days before the visit,
  • A guided group can consist of up to 15 people,
  • The tour time is 2 hours,
  • Groups start the tour at intervals of fifteen minutes,
  • You can check the price list of guide services online.

  • Preferred date and time of the tour,
  • Purpose of visit: permanent exhibition or “Milusin” manor house,
  • Total number of people,
  • Language of the tour,
  • Group profile (youth, seniors, people with disabilities),

  • We recommend visiting with flat sole shoes,
  • Leave backpacks, larger bags and luggage in a locker room or locker that can be locked,
