The permanent exhibition “For the Polish Commonwealth. Józef Piłsudski 1867 – 1935” is a story about Józef Piłsudski and the era in which he lived. The content of this story is contained in five chronological galleries dedicated to successive periods of his life and activity. The sixth gallery, named Symbol, presents Józef Piłsudski’s legacy in its broadest sense.
The exhibition is housed in an underground hall on two levels. The floors are connected by a central space where one can relax and watch a multimedia show on monumental screens that complements the content of the exhibition. Exhibits play a prominent role in the exhibition, the historical message is complemented by infographics and multimedia and audio presentations. The permanent exhibition has been awarded many prestigious prizes. In the 41st edition of the Sybilla competition, it won in the New and Modernized Permanent Exhibitions category and the Grand Prix. The exhibition “For the Polish Commonwealth. Józef Piłsudski 1867 – 1935” also received awards and honors from the Red Dot Design Award 2021, GOLD MUSE! MUSE Design Awards, International Design Awards.
