The „Adelcia” restaurant is a casual place where Polish cuisine surprises with specialties.
The restaurant is named after the housekeeper at the home of Aleksandra and Józef Piłsudski, Adela Hajbutowicz. She found her way to „Milusin” in 1924, and since then helped run the house and prepare meals for the Marshal’s family. Although she quickly gained the affection of all the household members, we know little about her except that she certainly cooked brilliantly. Józef Piłsudski liked simple and unsophisticated dishes and was not at all fond of Lithuanian cuisine, which was rather greasy and heavy. Due to his health condition, his wife and Adelcia made sure that he followed the diet recommended by doctors. He was very fond of all sweets and cakes. From Adelcia’s repertoire comes a recipe for a cake with dried plums, which found its way onto the menu of the „Adelcia” Restaurant.
The products of the Restaurant „Adelcia” respond to the needs of our guests and refer to seasonal and traditional cuisine. In „Adelcia” you will find cold and hot snacks, green salads, soups, fish and meat dishes. Everything is prepared daily from fresh products of the highest quality. In „Adelcia” you will also taste home baked goods accompanied by aromatic coffee.
The restaurant also offers preserves from Adelcia’s Pantry, which contain no preservatives. The recipes we use are original and proven.
